I mean we know theres ppl that think that suiciding in CTF, where if you do it you dont get neg score but u take possible points for the other team, is ok and almost a habit and others who thinks that its very low-cheap almost cheating to win.
So whats your position?

Well I suicide about 75% of the time, but I forget sometimes and if the person whom Im fighting didnt suicide before, well I try to be fair and go to the end...but again if score is close, then i will suicide or run to a better spot if possibe.

I remember a ctf game in city where one guy was rushing me all the time with a nova and suiciding each time he got crit in the middle of a fight he had 5 deaths before he could finally kill me and suiciding in a fight annoys the hell out of me... suiciding when you are getting ready for a wave of runners at your base is ok unless you have full weaponry and are shooting someone atm... if I manage to get a flag in a nova n get legged I suicide too... suiciding when Im away from the base but teammates need help (only If Im not in a fight... but usually uber rush of the whole enemy team doesnt count as such) thats when I suicide in ctf so its ok unless its in a fight I guess

Myself, I'd say no suicide 'in the face of the enemy', but as a means to return to your base after chasing down a runner, or after a flagrun, or to remove cumulative damage from a guard,..no prob.

suiciding not causing neg points is a short sidedness of the programmers. -1 for each sui would be nice... people who have to sui just not to lose shows a lack of skill. I do hold the belief that if ur not in battle at all then sui is ok. IF ur crit and a mech runs up then staying hidden and suiciding is just claiming u have a vag1na. People play the its a tactic card but really its just a scapegoat for lack of skill. As far as the -1 per sui goes well it may not seem like much but i have been in games where a team has over 100 deaths and not many kills have been made against them so u can see the effect... also its about flags so if ur really trying to get flags then kills shouldnt matter much anyway unless u just cant get it. I have also played on servers with edited maps that have 4 team and 2 flags.... 2 teams for each falg.. one is defenders the other is offense and they spawn appart.... makes for more balanced games and usually people dont stick 6 guards and 2 runners.
i like 2-3 runners, 2-3 offensive killers, 2-4 guards. best is 3 runner 3 offensive and 2 guards. But its usually all novas and a few runners.
