i play this game for the fact that you dont run around picking up powerups and weapons and everyone starts off exactly the same... this game takes knowing the map and having a plan and if ur plan gets fubar then u have to adapt with what u got... i also play for the competition aspect... so this means that when peopel come in and die, and die and die... while gaining very few points... it makes the game not fun for those who are competitive... so remember dont have fun at the expense of other people. Cata hase been brawling since back in the day when thats pretty much all anyone did(no hill bugs yet) so he has alot of experience at it... so if u want to brawl and ur not causing ur team to lose then keep going if its fun for you but it ur hurting more than helping then you should probably not brawl anymore for that game and go change mechs or do what u have to inorder to help.

Yep people who are good at something obviously deserve respect. Cata is a good brawler. *takes hat off* But there is also such thing as different situations and progress. Sometimes you need to know more than just how to stuff your guns up with lbx and rush into spawn. Ofcourse such skill is appreciated in certain battles, but you cant apply it EVERYWHERE. Tactics is more than knowing all your actions for the following 30 min. It means ability to do good in different positions. That, in my opinion, deserves respect more than anything.

OK, Void, next time I'm in a good longrange map like gator or dust, I'll bust out my sniping loki, or mebbe the ol' 4-lt-gauss daishi, but as 'loose' as this joystick is, don't expect a lot. I used to use lots of different setups, but a long stretch of imprecise joysticks had me shorten my engagement range more and more, until I discovered the joys of point-blank range. After all, having started out primarily as a ctf runner, getting in close wasn't all that different from that last stretch before the flag, y'know? As for the other gentlemans comment about hillbugs, the very first opponent I faced online was 'bugging. Lessee,....that would have been in spring/summer of '01?...'02? All I recall is that it was in the PLASMA STORM server, in timberline, on the easternmost ridge of mountains. And I was in an awesome, lol.

actually clans died because people left veng 1.0... if u add up all the mercs, 3.0 and 1.0 clans there are still a bunch... also people quit playing mech and clans break up because people cant play with the same people they used to due to schedule's so a clan that everyone plays a diff times doesnt last that long on the average... so
As for dont be dissrespectful until dissrespected... well not changing ur tactics, mech, or switching teams when the rest of your team asks you to is not respectful and not answering at all is worse. So yeah alot of bitching is brought upon "urself", no u in particular cata but people in general.
