meh see i always have terrain on ULTRA LOW mech engine aint very smooth so it greatly reduces vis lag, the rest i have on the highest shadows detail level lighting etc.. and about screenshots um i just make them as light as i can, compressing and stuff. pretty and heavy screenies take lots of time 2 load.. so i make sure the stuff i post isnt over 150 kb. my resolution in game is 1280x1024 but i resize most of the pics 2 make sure they fit well on the page lol (yeah i also use 4x AA and sumtimes anisotropy no less than 16x) and about comp.. meh here it is: AMD Athlon 3200+ 180 gb HD 2048 mb RAM 256 mb vRam NVIDIA GeForce 7800 GT

i put my screen on 2nd to smallest resolution cuz i want the terrain pixelated so that when part of a novas arm is over a hill i can see it easier and pop it

well like.. i dont want mechs to look ugly so Terrain Composing is the main setting after LOD that decreases performance. and since i dont look at the ground that much while shooting it's ok for me on ultra low... and runs like z0om ;D

Raze, try messing with settings in autoconfig lol theres alot of stuff to adjust, i always use custom settings for that not just set it on one of five default values. the thing is.. u wanna reduce liek 45% of the *visual* lag just decrease terrain composing setting. like i said i play with everything but that on high.. well ok sound doesnt bother me so its on low too [since always got music on when i play mech], so its.. AA, water detail, shadows, LOD, lighting, etc. i could play on any settings cuz my comp is ok, this low-quality terrain setting is just smoother so i prefer it.
